Job Description

As a Sales Leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of our organization. Your responsibilities will include building, training and managing a highly talented and efficient sales team focused on driving revenue and increasing market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess a sales management background that is heavy in sales training, reporting, coaching and development. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to own, define, develop and execute sales strategies and consistently overdeliver on revenue targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage daily operations and effectiveness of the sales department, including a team of salespeople

Develop and implement a sales orientation for new members of the sales team to include formal sales cycle and product training

Coordinate ongoing sales training for the organization

Work collaboratively with operations to ensure ongoing product training for sales team

Develop, recommend, and implement sales department policies, plans, programs, and goals to assist in achieving company objectives

Communicate organizational objectives to sales team

Establish sales quotas and other selling goals; continually meet or exceed revenue targets

Ensure the utilization of systems and techniques required to monitor and control department activities (CRM and database ordering system)

Provide sales information for decision making and planning efforts

Coach and develop sales team daily

Facilitate regular sales team meetings

Maintain a robust sales pipeline

Manage contract negotiations

Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

Ensure that our salespeople are compliant with company culture and that they consistently deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers

Occasional evening and weekend hours required to attend networking events and other company/client functions

Expect moderate travel


Prior experience managing a sales team in a CRM environment required

Experience in reporting and data-driven decision-making, both setting up the framework and effectively analyzing data and feedback for insights

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of presenting to teams, clients and senior management

Ability to lead and influence others

Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization and to turn ideas into concrete action plans

Ability to develop strong, productive relationships across organizations that foster collaboration

Focus on demonstrating business impact and measurable results

Demonstrated ability to implement programs, processes & policies

Proficiency with Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Excellent customer service skills
