Position Summary

While working as a Help Desk Technician, you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to overseeing all help desk needs in the company. The person in this position assists with facility needs including hardware and software installation and support, ensuring security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure, and proactively monitoring all company systems to upgrade and/or troubleshoot as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the facilities ticketing system for both the facility and the help desk
  • Check email regularly and responding as needed
  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established company goals
  • Handling a wide range of IT needs including new user setup, responding to employees who are locked out of computer, and setting up work desks
  • Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Act on any opportunities to improve and update the software and systems
  • Ensuring the IT equipment and server room is clean and in order on a daily basis
  • Communicating with staff at all levels of the organization and in various departments to solve daily problems in an efficient and effective manner
  • Keeping in close contact with IT vendors to provide direction and manage the relationship as it pertains to user management, data storage, help desk support, active directory management, etc.
  • Working between both company locations to assist with a number of tasks including managing the computer and door system and granting access to employees into the building
  • Ensuring that the facility is clean and is being maintained on a daily basis
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed


  • High School Diploma is required but 2-4 years of prior experience or training in IT is recommended
  • Performing this job successfully requires that an individual have a solid understanding of computers, data entry, internet searches, the Microsoft Office suite and email applications
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
